Went to an advance screening tonight for Ghostbusters. I know the Internet Haterade has been on this for months, but I went anyways to make my own decision with a buddy who got the tickets. Last time I went to an advanced screening (Interstellar) they were turning people away at the door, as they give out more tickets than they have seats in case people don't show.
Not a problem here. There were exactly 21 people in a theater that seats almost 300. Sat through the whole movie, and I do not lie when I say I did not laugh once. I'm a fan of Kristen Wiig and thought at least she'd have some solid lines. Nope. You could see the "jokes" being set up several lines in advance, and now I know why the trailer looked like shit: they had NOTHING to put in it to prop up the movie.
I rarely listen to the Internet collective on pop culture and movie shit, but I'll admit when I'm wrong. This was a train wreck. Save your money, go so Star Trek Beyond when it comes out next week. Ugh.
