Maybe his companies n shit woulda lost out had the TPP passed/ratified etc, so maybe that's why he was against it rather than him actually caring about the poor/middle class etc, since the TPP woulda benefited big corporations n shit basically.. ie IIRC, one of the clauses was that corporations could SUE STATES n shit after.. lmao. I don't see China giving up even 1 millimeter of ground when it comes to national sovereignty and other countries telling them what to do etc. They didn't give a fuck about the US and no other countries can take them on 1v1 atm(even the US, which is why they wanted to get these other S.E Asian countries to sign the dotted line after which they will remain under/in the US sphere of influence rather than them being under the Chinese sphere of influence, which is the 'normal' way of things imo, since that's China's backyard and China's neighbours. It's been that way since ancient times.. Japan uses Chinese characters, not english/US ones. Same as Korea. Same as Vietnam, same as Malaysia/Singapore, Taiwan etc etc. They all are under or have been under chinese sphere of influence for millenia, if not more.. they used to be tributary/vassal states of china ffs.. lol.
But yet the US thinks it can come in and create an economic coalition to fuck up/take on China? If this TPP went through, it woulda probably been bad for China, but yeah. How is that gonna change when Trump pulled out of it with executive order? Even if congress decides to back it, can't Trump 'veto' it or someshit as the commander in chief/president etc? Now, if China replaced the US as the 'chair' of the TPP group of countries, then yeah. The US isn't gonna be happy, and i don't see it happening, since the US and other countries were basically pushing for strong/er IP laws, of which China and shit doesn't respect at all, and China isn't gonna be doing any trade deals that the other countries will like.. China would rather deal with countries in a 1on1 fashion, why would they want all the small countries to group up together, thus giving them more 'leverage' than they otherwise would of had if they had gone the bilateral talk route with China..
Lastly, under Clinton, the TPP woulda went ahead like i said, since she was most likely bought out and 'lobbied' by all those big multinational companies(that are HQ'd in the US, but they keep their money in offshore accounts so they don't have to pay any tax.. and this was just gonna make that kinda shit even worse for the average worker/citizen)
