Yeah, i know there's a Trump thread, but that thread seems pretty toxic and full of pessimism, this seems like something good, and something that is probably a direct result of Trump and his admin. Maybe the meeting from Xi/Trump wasn't a complete waste of time and he did learn something useful. He probably knows more about this than most of you guys, right? haha

It's a 1.4 trillion+ plan where China is gonna build an international trade network in like 60+ countries.. i'm not really surprised you guys aren't talking about this or probably even know/care about it, since you guys didn't care/talk about TPP much either.
It's also connected with CPEC(China Pakistan Economic Corridor)
Analysts suggest the project could shift the center of global economy and challenge the U.S.-led world order.
Beijing hopes the gathering will rally international support for the plan.
Xi's colossal program is 11 times the size of the U.S. Marshall Plan, which reconstructed Europe after World War II.
It envisions new roads, high-speed rail, power plants, pipelines, ports and airports and telecommunications links that would boost commerce between China and 60 countries in Asia, Europe, the Middle East and North Africa.
Among Xi's guests will be Russian President Vladimir Putin, as well as the leaders of Turkey, Italy, Pakistan and the Philippines. A minister from reclusive North Korea will also attend.
The U.S. delegation is led by Matt Pottinger, a special assistant to President Donald Trump and senior director for East Asia on the National Security Council. His visit to observe the summit was only announced Friday. And surrounded by heads of state, Pottinger's relatively low position raises questions about how seriously the Trump administration is taking the project.
I wonder if Xi told Trump about OBOR during their meeting, and what affect that had on his decision to send the delegation after completely being against it during Obama admin..

IMO, it seems like Trump is gonna completely reverse his position on OBOR in time, and it seems like it will just be India who is gonna 'decline to participate'.. just like with TPP. Hahaha. He's completely sold out and is now in China's pockets. From them giving him IP rights in China, to Kushner selling VISAS to rich Chinese, to them investing in his condoes, to other projects trump has with China/rich chinese, it's pretty much assured now that he's no longer gonna be 'tough on china' and calling them currency manipulators and job stealers etc. I knew this was gonna happen, not many people are dumb enough to bites the hand that feeds them, and certainly not someone like Trump, who's sucked up and lied his way to where he is.
See this post for more technical information on the OBOR intiative. Shows maps and routes and has additional relevant information.
If trump can bridge the gap between US/China relations and bring them together, then maybe i can overlook his personal corruption/faults, just like i and the people of China do with the CCP.. it's because they get shit done. If he can do it in regards to space and get joint US/China/EU/Russia space mission going, i will overlook pretty much EVERYTHING. If he can do that, he is basically ensuring the future of human race itself. But we'll see, because the US has pretty much wanted to be leader and have China in a subservient role, but that's never gonna fly for China. If Trump can keep kowtowing and sucking Xi's cock, then yeah. The future of the world might be good. But the future of the US and US citizens itself.. probably not so much. But hey, that's democracy. You gotta do your own duty as US citizens. Nothing is free, and don't expect the rest of the world to save/care about you guys when you've shitted on the world and acted like you owned it for the last 50+ years since WW2. Now that China is here, you'll see just how much your 'allies' care about you vs caring about their own interests(which align more and more with China).
I'm Aussie, but trust me, our future is gonna align more and more with China's, they are our biggest trading partner and our relationship is only gonna get rosier, despite all US attempts to drive a wedge between us and make us pick sides. We're gonna play both of you guys against each other, that works for us. You guys both need us and can't afford to lose us.. you need US more than we need you basically. We have plenty of other traditional allies like the UK/NZ/Canada/Commonwealth etc, no ones gonna fuck with us ever, even if they do, we'll fuck them up easily enough. </rant>
This, along with all the other shit China is up to, like AIIB, BRICS, SCO, etc etc is pretty much gonna reshape the world in the next 30 years. Remember what CHina used to be 30 years ago in the 80s? Yeah, they were nothing. Now imagine what another 30 years will do to China. Remember, they are still classed as undeveloped country and most of their population live in the countryside as peasants/farmers still. But yeah. Imagine they get another 10-20 shanghai/beijings/hk/macao's etc. like every few years! That's gonna be China's future for the next 50 years probably, their population is just huge.. we're all gonna be left behind if we don't start doing sometihng now. I really don't wanna be subservient to anyone, let alone the CCP as an aussie in australia.
Coz yeah. When they dominate space, we're gonna be relying on them since they the only ones who gonna have space station by 2020~.. and that's gonna be purely the US's fault if it decides to keep sticking it's head in the sand and keep treating China as some kind of enemy that can't be trusted/worked with.. when in reality most of the brightest are chinese in US universities n they were also the ones who built your transcontinental railroad n who came to both aus/us during the gold rush days n shit(that's why there was chinese exclusion act in the US back then, and also the white australia policies were in response to chinese workers.. now it's still chinese, but also mexicans and shit -rolls eyes-)
Let me know your thoughts.
